Privacy Policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
Alee is built to plan road trips without an account. We don’t sell your data, show ads, or track you across apps and websites.
What stays on your phone
- The first name you give Alee for its greeting.
- Your saved trips and saved places.
- Your settings, like map style and your last trip choices.
- Saved search results, so places load faster next time.
Deleting the app removes all of it.
Your location
With your permission, Alee uses your location while you use the app to start trips from where you are and show places nearby. It isn’t collected in the background or stored by us.
Services Alee uses
To plan trips and show places, Alee sends only what each service needs:
- Apple Maps (maps, place search, addresses): searches, map areas and locations.
- Anthropic (Claude) (stop suggestions and place descriptions): your start and destination, the trip choices you pick, the town or spot you’re exploring, and the names of places you open.
- Wikipedia (place photos): place names and locations.
- Open-Meteo (weather): the location shown on the map.
- OSRM (driving routes): the start and end points of a drive.
- Apple Maps or Google Maps, when you tap Navigate or Start trip: the stops for that drive.
Each service handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Children
Alee isn’t directed to children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
